This is a wonderful breakdown of camp in the movies. 10/10, no notes.

Watch “The image you can’t submit to journals anymore” on YouTube
This is a fascinating look at something I have never heard of before. Check it out! One thing I really appreciate about this little documentary is the effort to actually reach out and have people participate, giving their opinion with their faces on screen. It is a little thing, but it makes a big difference.
So close to good: I Am a Ghost review
Well… with great promise comes great disappoint when the story falls flat. This movie had me for about sixty percent of the runtime. The whole first half is a beautiful study in building suspense and developing character in a nearly dialogue-free sequence. It is definitely something I will be studying. There are subtle hints, and…Read more
A very interesting deep dive into spirit photography
I find this whole era fascinating. This video goes into some interesting detail on not only the reasons Spiritualism so fascinated people of the time, but also the grifters that took advantage of people by analyzing one in particular: the art of spirit photography.
I’m going through all the pieces I had in my portfolio, since the new WordPress seems to have broken things even worse than I thought.
I think I’m going to do a rewrite on all of these. I am going to do a series, going through and talking about what I like, what I don’t, and how I’m going to rewrite them to go back into my portfolio.
Early morning thoughts

Site News: Welp
Well, the PDF embed plug in used has gone to a subscription service, so that means I will be on the hunt for a new option. Until then, my portfolio is going to look a little bare. In other news, I do have a few very exciting projects on the horizon that are going to…Read more
I had no idea that the new Vampire: The Masquerade video game was announced with an ARG
I don’t play video games like I used to, which is unfortunate. But it’s E3 season, which means I’m drooling over new trailers like Charlie Bucket smashing his face up in the window of the candy store. I want it all, but there’s no way I can afford it. But in a weird crossover, one…Read more
Minecraft Earth is Everything I Ever Wanted and More From an AR Mobile Game
Y’ALL. I! AM! EXCITED! ABOUT! THIS! I like Minecraft. I don’t play the campaign mode, but the sandbox is my favorite thing ever. It’s one of the reasons why I got an enormous SD card for my phone. I have a lot of little world I open up and tinker with. Sometimes when you have…Read more
